Gaming platform Myria unveils its Ethereum L2 scaling solution

  • Myria’s L2 scaling solution leverages ZK Rollup technology, increasing transaction throughput multiple times.
  • For developers, Myria takes an API-first approach that will help them build blockchain games and NFT projects in hours.

On Tuesday August 30, the Myria gaming platform unveiled its long-awaited Ethereum Layer-2 (L2) scaling solution focused on blockchain gaming. The goal is to facilitate instant and secure transactions for NFTs and blockchain games with no transaction fees.

The Myria L2 will feature a full suite of products for developers and gamers. This includes Myria Wallet, Myria Developer SDK and the NFT market. Myria’s L2 will use StarkWare’s highly popular Zero-Knowledge Rollup (ZK-Rollup) technology.

This technology can facilitate over 9,000 transactions per second (TPS) by aggregating a large number of transactions into a single transaction. This is several times compared to just 50 transactions per second on the Ethereum blockchain network. Thus, the launch of the Myria L2 solution will allow both creators and users to unlock the scalability benefits of the protocol. Speaking of development, Brendan Duhamel, co-founder of Myria, said:

We are extremely excited about advancing the industry with what we have built. We see huge potential in the underlying technology we’ve built to support NFT scalability and believe blockchain gaming will be the next big vertical for NFTs. That’s why we’ve created NFT solutions specifically designed to serve game developers and game builders. We’re just getting started!

Myria has over 150 employees working there, including blockchain and gaming industry veterans from companies such as Ubisoft, EA, Riot Games, Blizzard Activision, Tencent, Chainlink, BitMex, etc.

Here is what Myria L2 has to offer

Myria says blockchain gaming and NFT users will be able to create their Myria wallet in “one click” and mint. Also, they will be able to trade and transfer their NFTs without gas charges. Myria co-founder Duhamel said: “We are incredibly lucky to have such a strong community eager to join Myria L2. With this launch, the team is thrilled to finally see our vision come to life.”

The Myria platform currently has over 1.2 million verified registered users. On the other hand, the developer solution offered by Myria adopts an API-first approach. It simplifies complex blockchain interactions using Myria’s set of REST APIs and SDKs.

Using this solution, developers can launch any NFT project and blockchain games within hours without the need to learn any blockchain coding languages. Myria says the launch of L2 will help them easily deliver a successful blockchain building experience.

The gaming platform is also forming key partnerships in the marketplace. Myria recently partnered with Leapblock Studios to create Moonville Farms. This is a play-to-earn NFT game that will launch on Myria’s L2 scaling solution in the coming weeks.
